JOB TITLE: COORDINATOR
LOCAL TRAINING INITIATIVE (FOCUS YOUR FUTURE PROJECT)
Focus Your Future is an initiative of Lifestyle Development Group
offering vocational Training to marginalized and disadvantaged

website** years old. Lifestyle Development Group works in partnership
with LMETB to deliver a Local Training Initiative, delivering QQI
accredited Major Award at QQI Level 4 and are now seeking to employ a
COORDINATOR for the programme. The position will be based in Magdalene
Street, Drogheda Co. Louth.
OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to Lifestyle Development Group, Board of Management, the
main task of the successful candidate will be to co-ordinate,
continuously develop, improve and evaluate a Local Training Initiative
for Lifestyle Development Group / LMETB in the Drogheda area.
SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
_THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:_
* Have experience working with economically, socially, geographically
and/ or educationally disadvantaged learners
* Have a third level academic qualification (in
Education/Training/Community Development or equivalent)
* Have a recognised Training Qualification
* Have experience in training QQI modules at level 4
* Be familiar with and have experience with the LMETB TQAS
* Be familiar with and have experience in managing QQI accreditation
* Have a proven track record in administration and excellent
organisational skills
* Possess good verbal and written communication skills
* Proven self-initiative
* Competence in IT systems
* A full driving licence
* A knowledge of local statutory and voluntary sectors in relation
to Community development and social inclusion.
TRAINING PROGRAMME - GENERAL OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
* To develop the LTI in consultation with the learners, LMETB and
Lifestyle Development Group, LTI staff, external tutors and other
appropriate supporters, which meet the learning
objectives/participant?s needs
* Identify QQI accreditation opportunities and facilitate learners
in pursuing and achieving a major QQI award
* Delivery of QQI modules to all learners on the Local Training
Initiative
* Direct support to Lifestyle Development Group / LTI staff in the
recruitment of suitable participants for the project
* Responsible for the overall management of the course tutors
TRAINING PROGRAMME: SPECIFIC DUTIES
* Co-ordination of a full-time LTI programme
* Co-ordinate the promotion and recruitment of participants for the
programme
* Co-ordinate the testing, selection and registration of learners
with LMETB when the new project starts
* Responsible for the welfare of and ongoing support to learners to
ensure they benefit from and successfully complete the programme
* Design, deliver and evaluate modules for the LTI
* Organise accreditation of the LTI modules
* Delivery of training of a number of modules for QQI Level 4 Major
Award in General Learning/Employability Skills
* Hold regular meetings with the Assistant coordinator to develop
ongoing work plans/ schedules to ensure smooth management of the
project Provide individual support and evaluation to all course
participants
* Evaluate learner?s progress with regular group and individual
sessions
* Develop individual learning plans with learners and facilitate
progression to other forms of training, education or employment
* Comply with all LMETB TQAS requirements
* Liaise with and report to the Lifestyle Development Group Project
Manager on a weekly basis and more regularly if required
* Keep and maintain project records in accordance with the
requirements of Lifestyle Development Group / LMETB / ESF / QQI
* Monitor, record and report course participants' attendance to
LMETB on a
* weekly basis
* Maintain all necessary financial records and provide monthly and
other financial reports to LMETB and Lifestyle Development Group
* Support the preparation and submission of all necessary financial
claims in line with LMETB procurement guidelines
* Control and monitor all the equipment and resources needed to
deliver the LTI programme effectively
* Implement Health and Safety procedures as per current legislation
* Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time or as the
programme requires
HOURS OF WORK

SALARY
* The position is funded by LMETB and the salary will be based on
LMETB rates.
